On the other hand, Latin America has higher rates of overcrowding in its penitentiary facilities and the prisons guards does not meet its main objective, which is the reintegration of these subjects into society when they serve their sentences.
So, It is crucial in a society to recognize the existence of these people, since although they are people who committed crimes and violated the law, they are subjects with rights that must be respected.
Therefore, I consider that this problem - like everyone in society - is structural and social policy must be focused on a change of root and change the prison system completely.
